Search all Government & Utilities in Biscayne Park

The Village of Biscayne Park has maintained its small-town character as well as its original charter, which, for example, gives the mayor authority to arrest and try residents for criminal offenses. Mayor Richard Ederr has not been known to use those official powers and has worked to modernize the village government. Under Biscayne Park’s current form of government, five elected commissioners oversee a village department consisting of public works, recreation, finance, police and recreation. The 1933 Village Hall is located in a log cabin which also houses the city's police force.
