Events In Coconut GroveOf the many events that take place each year in Coconut Grove, the most famous is the Coconut Grove Art Festival, which takes place each February over President’s Day weekend. The festival regularly attracts more than 300 artists from all over the country and more than 150,000 visitors, eager to stroll the closed-to-traffic streets and view world-class art pieces. Coconut Grove shows its sense of humor with the annual King Mango Strut, a parade held the first Sunday after Christmas. In June, downtown Coconut Grove’s Grand Avenue is transformed into a piece of the Caribbean with the Goombay Festival, featuring food, music, dancing and culture from the Bahamas. The Barnacle Historic State Park hosts many events throughout the year, including concerts, dances and dinners.
